Zincal Cream is a skin-protectant cream from Alive Pharmaceutical. It contains calamine 1.5%, zinc oxide 7.5%, and simethicone 20%. Zinc oxide lays a light cover that keeps wetness and irritants off the skin. Calamine cools itch and mild redness. Simethicone helps the cream spread as an even film. People use it for napkin rash, bed rash, contact dermatitis, heat rash, insect bites, and mild sunburn. Clean and dry the skin, then spread a thin layer. It soothes and protects. It does not treat a deep infection.

How Does It Work?
Zinc oxide sits on the surface as a physical barrier. It keeps urine, sweat, and rub away from sore skin and has a mild drying action. Calamine soothes itch and takes the heat out of redness. Simethicone smooths the cream so it forms a thin, even coat instead of sitting in clumps.

FAQs
Q1. What is Zincal Cream used for?
Ans. It protects and soothes irritated skin in napkin rash, bed rash, contact dermatitis, heat rash, insect bites, and mild sunburn. It is a barrier cream, not an antibiotic.
Q2. Can I put it on a baby’s napkin area?
Ans. Yes, for ordinary napkin rash. Clean and dry the skin first, then use a thin layer. See a doctor if the rash is raw, bleeding, or has pus.
Q3. How thick should the layer be?
Ans. A thin coat is enough. A heavy smear feels greasy and does not protect better. Spread it gently and let it sit on the skin.
Q4. Will Zincal clear a fungal rash?
Ans. No. It only shields and calms the surface. Ringworm, pus, or a rash that spreads needs a doctor. Do not use it as an antifungal.
Q5. Can I use it on broken skin?
Ans. A mildly weeping spot is a common use. Do not push it into a deep cut or an infected wound unless your doctor has told you to.
Q6. How should Zincal Cream be stored?
Ans. Keep the tube or jar closed in a cool, dry place, away from heat and sunlight. Store it out of children’s reach and use it before expiry.
